Hi there, I am Maybel
Professionally, I started my career in the HR profession and through my years of working in the HR line, I came to realise that I am someone whom people described as a people person, because to me, every life has a story to tell—stories about aspirations, fear, love and everything in between. I love to hear these stories and perhaps that is why these people behind these stories became my friends.
I decided to make a career switch to become a Financial Consultant as I believe my empathetic personality, personal experiences in the insurance and HR space can be put to better use,. Which is to help clients articulate the important objectives that they have for themselves and their loved ones - stories that are worth protecting and stories they want to preserve.
Aside from my professional life, I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, who are constantly keeping me busy. I am also an avid sports enthusiast whose latest passion is to hit the gym and a spinning enthusiast.
I seek to reach out to people who believe in creating a safe financial environment for themselves and their loved ones. Let me know if I can be of help to you or someone you know or care about. We can make a difference to lives when it matters most.

We switched insurance agents and engaged Maybel to support her when she first started out 5 years ago. It was one of the best decisions we’ve made! As a mother of 3, Maybel knew how exhausted we were caring for our newborn and toddler. She made an effort to follow up and ensure our second kid had his hospitalisation plan in May 2023. As parents the last thing you’d want is to have your child hospitalised and We’ve had that happened to us twice! Our 6 week old baby had to admitted due to breathing difficulties and most of the hospital wards were running at full capacity. We were told at NUH that the waiting time would be several hours. We reached out to Maybel who replied very promptly and reminded us about the coverage that’s included with our son’s hospitalisation plan. She connected us to a medical concierge team she worked with, who helped call several hospitals and managed to find us an available room within the hour. Maybel even helped with registration by providing our details when we couldn’t reply in time. The medical concierge team ensured there was a doctor available to attend to our son when we arrived at the hospital. The whole process was seamless. Can’t express enough gratitude to Maybel! I don’t wish to experience the same ordeal again but at least I know we can definitely rely on Maybel and her team.

I have a number of insurance agents from different insurance companies. I have some pleasant and some unpleasant encounters with these agents. I expect my agents to be friendly, helpful and approachable. They also need to be efficient in answering my queries, handling my policies, and also knowledgeable with the policies which they are selling. And Maybel happened to appear at the time when I was looking for an avenue to invest my money - bank, insurance companies, investment companies, etc.
I got to know Maybel when she came to my company to handle the corporate health insurance. As I did not know Maybel personally then, I did not approach her. However, Maybel approached me and I gladly met up with her. We clicked very well during our first meeting and I was touched by her sincerity. Soon, I bought a few policies for myself and my husband from Maybel and I was impressed by how efficient she works and how knowledgeable she is when I asked her various questions on the policies. She is also very patient in explaining the insurance terms and policies a number of times to me when I did not understand or remember what were previously told to me.
All in all, I am glad to be able to find an agent that meets my needs and expectations and I am sure that my policies will be well taken care by Maybel.

When I first met Maybel, she took the time to get to know me, as well as my family background, and thus, I immediately felt very comfortable and open with her. Maybel was recommended to me by a friend when I mentioned I was seeking an insurance plan. The exact recommendation that convinced me that I should seek out Maybel’s help was that “she listens and she doesn’t hard sell”. Indeed, Maybel was wonderful. In order to figure out what’s the best plan for me, Maybel asked carefully about me and my lifestyle and she listened and came up with plans that would work well for me. This approach Maybel took, led us to the most appropriate plans for me. I also really appreciate the fact that Maybel was very transparent and caring throughout the process, she also shared her personal story which led her to insurance all together, which she didn’t have to. However, knowing more about her also helped us to build this more personal connection with each other. All in all, it was a pleasant experience that I’d recommend. Before I met Maybel, I was hesitant to do financial planning with Financial Consultants, which was the reason why I purchased my Maternity Insurance and subsequently the Hospitalization Plan for my daughter through a banker. I was afraid of meeting a pushy Financial Consultant as I’m not someone who is good at rejecting people. However, Maybel’s approach was totally different. Instead, she asked me for my budget before our 1st meet-up and proposed what was crucial to me at that point of time by working around with the budget I had in mind. She listens actively for my concerns and attends to my queries promptly. A very professional Financial Consultant who puts her client’s interest before hers. She also provides her clients with regular updates and changes which are important for us to know. I met Maybel through a mutual friend and before she even offered to help me with my financial plans I already felt comfortable with her. Maybel always goes the extra mile and makes me feel like she really cares about me as a friend and not just as a client to earn from which is how most agents can be like.
